Listening: Intermezzo, my kids whine about not having phones
Reading and re-reading: Ikebana Unbound, Atomic Habits
Working on: prepping wallpapers for LVD, religious holiday cards for Minted, journals for R&S
Eating: Made this Chickpea Curry again (+ chicken for the carnivores). All the kids like it - is this what winning an Olympic medal feels like?
Weeks until Swiss Days Market: 17

This week
Spent the best $5 of my life on a single stem of delphinium that could make you weep. The flowers were so, so good this week: buttery ranunculus, sherbet poppies, parrot tulips! Be still my heart. I went to three local flower markets/farmers to shop - Picklinq on Tuesday, Utah Flower Market and Foothill Flower Farm on Wednesday. (side bar - I have so much respect for flower farmers. They have had the worst spring and are still growing beautiful things despite it and I will happily give them all my money.)
It was really helpful to write out my plan for this week. I kept the goals for the week on my desk and wrote my 3/1 focus at the end of each day for the next day. Three tasks to accomplish, one priority that must get done. It is a little wild to me how making the decisions ahead of time frees up so much space in my brain and keeps me on track, even though there are entire books about it. Makes perfect sense, feels like magic. It was a heavy work week with a lot of time at the computer and making flatlays in the frigid basement. The laundry mountain has reached new heights and honestly feels like an organic focal point that we might miss someday.
Things that distracted me
The giant stupid data center in Box Elder county
The Japanese maples at Costco (need??)
How to raise chickens (do not need)

Next week
Flower shopping - Tuesday (peonies!), Wednesday?
Flatlays - 2 calendar months & repeat patterns
R&S - Edit journal photos, interior pages
Other projects
Minted - The corporate/non-photo holiday challenge opened and submissions are due 05/26. I have had a contract with Minted for holiday for the last couple of years, and to meet the contract I have to enter at least 15 designs in 3 holiday challenges. This year there are 4 challenges (photo/foil photo, religious, non-photo/corporate, and New Year). I entered 54 in the main challenge and 15 in religious, so I would love to hit 20 submissions in the non-photo/corporate to know I’m good contract wise because the kids will be out of school when the New Year challenge opens and that means one things: chaos. Shooting for 5-7 designs next week.
Zola - wrapping up wedding file prep for 4 suites this week
My yard - the weeds are winning
