This week
Was super productive Monday-Wednesday because Mike was out of town for work and I watched too many Lifetime movies as a child so I do not sleep when he is gone. I uploaded 8 designs to the Minted corporate/non-photo challenge and have 4 more that are so close to being done. Wrapped up the design for the wedding invitation suites for Zola, now just need the seal of approval before moving onto color ways and sending the final files. I used a coupon to buy some plants for the front walkway which I think means I am settling into my late thirties quite nicely. I ended up hating most of what I worked on for the journals… I’m frustrated with the pace of the last couple of weeks and wanted to be a lot further than I am. I’m trying to decided if I’m putting too much pressure on everything being the best work I’ve ever made! or if the layouts/color combos are actually not right. Definitely in my head too much. But I also know that feeling of making something I really love and I haven’t hit that place yet, so we keep going. I think the unsettledness is also partially due to our last kid finishing preschool and our first kid finishing elementary school. I’m wading around my feelings about all of it. Insert cliche about time flying by, but oh! it does leave you dazed and a little breathless when you look around to take in the view from a milestone moment. Giving myself a little pep talk about a fresh week next week, but also a little terrified because summer.

Next week
R&S: Re-do the poppy and peony covers for the journals. The fabric samples will be delivered Tuesday! I am thinking three different cover colors but know I will want at least seven. Maybe I will do a poll on Instagram. No, that is a terrible idea. No poll.
Other projects
Minted - finish 5 more designs for corporate/non-photo holiday? My holiday spirit is waning
LVD - have a few ideas for wallpapers, will be very happy if I can get 3 submitted before the end of the month.
Life - we are headed to Alaska in a few weeks! Lots of little details to iron out. Sadly, I do not own an iron.
